The New Orleans Saints will turn to Taysom Hill as their quarterback in Week 11 while veteran Drew Brees is out due to injury, per ESPN’s Diana Russini and Adam Schefter. Hill reportedly took all the starter reps at practice this week instead of Jameis Winston, who stepped in for Brees last week.
Hill has long been seen as more of a situational gadget type QB, is set to start over Winston, who will not looking the part of a top drafted QB, still threw for over 5000 yards just a year ago.
Hill, a former BYU star is 4-of-5 passing for 86 yards in 2020 and 10-of-18 for 205 yards in his limited time at the position. Hill, age 30, has 34 carries for 186 yards this season, nearly eclipsing career-highs set in 2018, and has six catches on eight targets for 74 yards.
