Chris Sununu's Senate Bid: A Turning Point for Conservative Values

As a stay-at-home mom from rural Virginia, I often reflect on the heart of America and the values that have held our great nation together. It's no secret that we are living in a time when those values are being challenged every day. That’s why the news of former New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu potentially running for the Senate in 2026 piqued my interest. Here is a man who is able to recognize the shifting tides in American politics and is willing to step up to secure our values in the U.S. Senate.

The Timing is Right for a Fresh Conservative Voice

Sununu, a Republican who once held critical views of President Trump, is now open to a Senate run after the announcement of retiring Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen. New Hampshire is a critical swing state and Sununu has the opportunity to turn this seat red and, with it, challenge the liberal policies that threaten our Christian family values.

Experience Matters

Let’s not forget that Sununu was elected and re-elected four times as governor. He knows the ins and outs of running a state—the importance of decisive action as opposed to the endless bureaucracy that so characterizes Washington. In his own words, “When you look at what their job is and what a governor's job is … it’s not even close.”

A Call to Action

It’s encouraging to see that he’s now willing to think about running for the Senate and prioritize issues that many of us Christian conservatives hold dear—like fiscal responsibility and efficient governance. While the Democrats lead us into moral decay, we need voices like Sununu who intend to stand firm on our values.

What Could a Sununu Senate Seat Look Like?

  • Protection of our veterans and military funding—putting American strength above foreign aid.
  • A commitment to a balanced budget, addressing the $36 trillion debt our children will inherit.
  • Advancing a strong, values-based America First policy that prioritizes families over political correctness.

The Opportunity at Hand

Sununu’s entry into the Senate race opens the door not just for him, but for others like former Sen. Scott Brown, who also sees the potential for victory in what had once been a safe Democratic seat. This is a clarion call for those of us who feel the weight of liberalism’s grip on our society. Together, we can wrest control back from those who seek to pervert the American way of life.

In closing, we must stay vigilant and support candidates like Sununu who understand the necessity of a strong moral compass in leadership. If you believe, as I do, that America’s destiny should align with good, righteous principles, then it's time to rally behind those willing to fight for it.
